The Europa League is nearing its conclusion. The semifinals will take place in the coming days, and on May 21, 2025, the two best teams of the season will face off at the San Mamés Stadium for the grand final.

Europa League Semifinalists and Favorites for the Final
The teams that have qualified for the semifinals are:
- Athletic Club (Athletic Bilbao)
- Bodø/Glimt, a Norwegian club
- Two English teams: Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United
The first leg of the semifinals will be played on May 1:
- Athletic Club and Manchester United will face off at San Mamés, which will also host the final.
- Tottenham Hotspur will host Bodø/Glimt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The second leg will take place on May 8:
- Manchester United and Athletic Club will meet at Old Trafford.
- Bodø/Glimt will host Tottenham at the Aspmyra Stadion.
Once the two finalists are determined, the final showdown will take place two weeks later at San Mamés in Bilbao.
Who are the favorites to win the tournament?
Athletic Club has shown impressive strength in Europe, winning all of their home matches at San Mamés (the same stadium that will host the semifinal and final). According to bookmakers, they are currently the top favorite to win the tournament.
Tottenham is considered the favorite against Bodø/Glimt, with odds reflecting the clear superiority of the London team (at least on paper). Despite an inconsistent season in the Premier League, the Spurs seem ready to redeem themselves in the Europa League.
The Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt is the “Cinderella” of the tournament. No one expected them to get this far in the Europa League, and even though they are seen as underdogs, they have already proven they can defy the odds.
